  • MK1 Open Water Wetsuit – Unisex

The latest edition of the immensely popular MK1 wetsuit carries on the legacy of providing triathletes and open water swimmers with maximum buoyancy, superb flexibility, warmth and comfort. The MK1 punches well above it’s weight when it comes to value and quality. Constructed entirely from Yamamoto #38 smoothskin fabric with SCS coating and a super-stretch inner lining; the MK1 is unrivalled in it’s class for quality and performance.

    Buoyancy

Buoyancy is the reason why you will swim faster in a wetsuit. Forget about all the marketing ploys out there. Buoyancy is the key. Increased buoyancy puts your body in a more ideal, elevated position in the water resulting in less drag.

Official triathlon competitions allow a maximum thickness of 5mm. The MK1 has a large 5mm chest/abdomen and front thigh panel which gives you the maximum buoyancy you require. Don’t settle for anything thinner!

    Flexibility

The flexibility of a swimming wetsuit is vital to its performance. The simple yet innovative design of the MK1 eliminates unnecessary panels around the neck and shoulder area.

The flexible 2mm underarm gusset and arm panels significantly eliminate restriction on the arm reach when swimming.

The common issue of shoulder fatigue often associated with sleeved wetsuits is effectively eliminated.. The super-stretch inner lining of the wetsuit aids it’s impressive flexibility.

    Warmth and Comfort

Swimmers will remain both warm and comfortable in the MK1 wetsuit.

Quality construction; Yamamoto fabric; stitched and glued seams; a smooth super-stretch inner lining; a low cut collar and a ‘hidden’ zip all ensure a warm and comfortable MK1 swimming experience.

  • MK2.ZERO Open Water Wetsuit – Unisex

The MK2.Zero is Blu Smooth’s entry into the elite open water swimming wetsuit market….and it is FAST!

Utilising the most buoyant and most flexible fabrics available and thoroughly tested in some of the toughest open water swims in the Indian ocean; this new suit well deserves it’s tag of #nothingfaster

    Buoyancy:

Extreme Buoyancy is created by a large front chest and torso panel constructed of SCS coated, 5mm Yamamoto Aerodome2 fabric.

Yamamoto Aerodome2 is a sandwiched neoprene that contains a perforated layer between two solid layers. This composition traps air inside little chambers and improves buoyancy while reducing weight.

    Flexibility:

Extreme flexibility is achieved by the use of a thin and incredibly light and flexible 1.5mm, SCS coated, Yamamoto #40 neoprene fabric for the crucial shoulder and under arm gusset panels. This fabric is extremely soft and molds comfortably to the contours of a swimmer’s shoulder. Combined with a large under arm gusset of the same soft fabric and a feeling of complete freedom of movement and minimal restriction is created for the swimmer.

A super stretch nylon inner lining further enhances the suit’s flexibility.

    Warmth and Comfort:

All the seams on the MK2.Zero are stitched on the inside and glued on the outside to minimize water intake.

Other outstanding features of the MK2.zero are it’s soft, comfortable and low cut collar; it’s hidden rear zip, and the high cut, lower leg panels which facilitate quick and easy removal of the suit.
